KC Trojans Varsity Program – 2008 Born Players

Are you ready to elevate your game? The KC Trojans Varsity Program delivers an elite training and competition experience for dedicated 2008-born athletes. For the 2025/26 indoor season, we are currently recruiting for our 2008 Varsity Players.
This is more than just a soccer team — it’s a pathway to excellence. Varsity athletes earn their spot through competitive tryouts that recognize not only technical skill but also leadership, discipline, and commitment. We’re looking for players ready to compete, grow, and proudly represent the KC Trojans both on and off the field.
What to Expect:
- High-Level Competition – Play in the EMSA Varsity league, with league games held in both Edmonton and Red Deer. All matches are non-boarded 11v11 format.
- Elite Coaching & Development – Receive advanced technical and tactical instruction from elite certified coaches and trainers who are committed to helping each player reach their full potential.
- Turf-Based Training for the indoor season – All practices are held on premium turf at Turf Training Centre #4 (South Edmonton) and outdoors at Ivor Dent Sports Park (private fields).
- Training & Conditioning –
- 2 or more team practices per week
- 3–5 fitness sessions per month to build strength, endurance, and injury resilience.
- Specialized goalkeeper training provided throughout the season.
- Post-Secondary Exposure – Players gain valuable exposure to university and college scouts, opening doors to future recruitment opportunities.
Program Inclusions:
✔ EMSA Varsity league games
✔ Minimum 2 team practices per week
✔ Certified technical and goalkeeper training
✔ Fitness sessions (3–5/month)
✔ Games in both Edmonton & Red Deer
✔ Use of high-quality turf and private outdoor facilities
✔ Tournament fee allowance (up to $1,000 for one tournament)
